About Rising Arbitrators Initiative (RAI)
The Rising Arbitrators Initiative (RAI) seeks to support arbitration practitioners under 45 who either have already received their first appointment as arbitrator or have at least seven years of professional experience in the practice of international arbitration by inter alia creating a support network and encouraging best practices.
RAI’s mission is carried out by an Executive Committee and an Advisory Council.
RAI aims to support Rising Arbitrators by:
- holding informal members’ meetings and conversations on those issues most relevant to rising arbitrators;
- organizing open events in the form of panel discussions, presentations, and debates on substantive and procedural issues relevant to rising arbitrators for all interested arbitration practitioners in the field;
- creating a network to support Rising Arbitrators in relation to the practicalities of acting as arbitrator; and
- publishing articles and academic works addressing best practices and other relevant issues to acting as arbitrator.
