My focus is on disputes in the areas of commercial and corporate law (e.g. post-M&A, joint ventures and international purchase agreements), plant construction (especially power plants such as hydro, solar and offshore wind power plants), in the energy and infrastructure sector (e.g oil and gas projects or long-term supply contracts) and on investment disputes (investor-state disputes, ISDS). Due to my Brazilian roots, I am also particularly well versed in disputes relating to Latin America. My experience includes acting as secretary of arbitral tribunals, party representative, arbitrator and in-house counsel in arbitration proceedings under the relevant international rules (such as DIS, ICC, ICSID) as well as in ad hoc dispute board and arbitrator proceedings.

I specialize in international arbitration, both commercial and investment, with a particular focus on complex disputes arising out of cross-border sales, M&A, construction contracts and investment projects, mainly in the sectors of renewable energy, oil&gas, infrastructure and engineering.

Having studied in Brazil and Switzerland, I am admitted to the Brazilian and to the Portuguese Bar Associations and practice in Germany. I am fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and German.
