We work on strategic and bet-the-company disputes in Asia. I'm a generalist, and particularly enjoy the energy, aviation and tech/telco sectors, and dealing with fraud, joint venture and investment treaty disputes.
I act as counsel (advocate) and arbitrator and have experience of matters under the SIAC, ICC, ICSID, HKIAC, LCIA and CIETAC arbitration rules. I have obtained emergency injunctions from courts and arbitrators, and handled set aside/enforcement and arbitrator challenge proceedings. As well as arbitrations, I have acted in matters involving the courts in Singapore, Hong Kong, India, the PRC, England, Thailand, Mauritius and various US jurisdictions. I'm a regular visitor to, and enjoy helping clients with issues in, India and the Philippines.
In southeast Asia we are a diverse team of 30+ disputes lawyers plus ten partners across Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. We all have broad commercial practices covering arbitration, cross border litigation and regulatory issues, and appear in the courts of Thailand and Indonesia. We work with our arbitration and litigation teams around the world, most regularly in Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo and London #disputespowerhouse.
