Gulnar Mistry is an independent counsel based out of Bombay, India. She has been practising as a civil and commercial litigator in Mumbai, India since 2009 in areas that include Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, law relating to Contracts and Specific Performance, Copyright and Arbitration. After completing her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degrees in India and earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Columbia University, she joined the Chambers of Navroz H. Seervai, Senior Advocate at the Bombay High Court. She later set up her independent practice in 2018.
Mistry's areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation as well as arbitration. She has acted as arbitrator in a number of disputes since 2014, including as a Sole Arbitrator pursuant to appointments by the Bombay High Court. In addition, she has acted as Presiding Arbitrator/Co-Arbitrator in three-member tribunals. She has also acted as counsel/co-counsel in arbitrations in India and abroad, including proceedings under the aegis of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and in international commercial arbitrations with their seat in India.
